background & personal statement
“I’ve lived in Los Angeles since 2000. I’m a native of Texas where I had a wonderful ride in the music industry, as an instrumentalist, co-songwriter, arranger, engineer and producer. Much of what I learned about creative collaboration happened here. My production sound journey started with a 2005 internship with Mark Ulano CAS AMPS on the movie Big Momma’s House 2. Initially I worked as a Boom Operator and ENG style mixer on smaller shoots. Over the years, I graduated to more formal shooting situations and found a niche by becoming a reliable 2nd unit and substitute mixer working on feature films like Dune (Sound Oscar Winner), Once Upon A Time in Hollywood (Sound Oscar Nominee) and Ad Astra (Sound Oscar Nominee).

For me, the best part of this job is the collaborative creative aspect of it. I love working with talented people in interesting places and capturing the one of a kind of performances happening in front of the camera. It’s a very rewarding job and I feel lucky to have found it.”
Mentorship& Education
One of my passions is to help newcomers find mentorship and training opportunities. In 2013, I founded a group called LA Sound Mixers that is dedicated to the mentorship and education for people interested in sound for film. We organize over a dozen social networking and educational events throughout the year. With the help of our manufacturing partners and supporters we have been able to take our events abroad to places like Munich, Berlin, Paris, London, Milan and Rome along with many cities here in the US with the goal of creating mentorship and educational opportunities as well as sound community development in many paces around the world. LA Sound Mixers can be found on Instagram and Facebook. A website is coming soon.
